The dispersal sale of pregnant Merino ewes on behalf of Naude Farming (Gregory & Gray Naude) will take place on Wednesday the 8th of March 2023 from 11:00 on the Farm Rooipoort in Utrecht.

930 Merino’s on offer: 

– 300 Ewes (in lamb with twins).
– 590 Ewes (in lamb with singles).
– 40 Rams (4 tooth – full mouth).

Herd history: Herd has been bred over the past 31 years with a selection criteria for milk, fertility, growth and adaptability. Only top performance tested stud rams from Charmac and Vrede veldramklub were used in herd. The ewes are mated for 35 days and lamb from 7 May 2023. The rams were sheared on 1 September 2022 and the ewes at the beginning of December 2022.  Average shear of 19 microns is maintained throughout.  Age of the majority of the ewes is between 2 and 6-tooth.

Herd Health & Management:  Vaccinated against Bluetongue, Pulpy Kidney, Optilumen (vitamins/minerals), ewes with Cevac Chlamydia 1 month before mating, rams at a young age with Rev 1. Richard Haupt as expert.

– From Dundee: Drive on the Vryheid road (R33) for 23km. Turn left on the Utrecht/Newcastle district road and drive for 22 km. Turn left on the D524 and drive until you reach the auction-site.
– From Newcastle: Drive on the N11, direction Volksrust for 7km. Turn right on the Utrecht/Vryheid road (R33).  Drive for 47km. Turn right on the Dejagersdrift/Dundee gravel road.  Drive for 8km. Turn right on the D523 and drive until you reach the auction-site.
