POSTPONED DUE TO FMD!
Due to the rapid spread of Foot and Mouth Disease in the Free State, the Majobe Merino auction will be postponed until the disease is under control.
The 29th Majobe Merino’s production auction will take place on Tuesday, 23 August 2022 on the farm Vlaklaagte, Bothaville. Viewing from 08:00 until auction starts at 11:00. Lunch will be served after auction.
On offer:
150 Merino sheep, consisting of:
– 50 Rams.
– 100 Stud-& commercial ewes.
* Note: All rams and ewes with BLUP values. All ewe were bred from stud. 23 Years selection against hairworm resistance and tolerance. Under auspices of Merino SA.
– Very high fertility.
– Good quality fine wool.
– Good maternal characteristics.
– Hairworm resistance.
– Oldest Merino Stud in Free State with BLUP values.
Route:
– From Bothaville: Drive on the Bothaville/Orkney tar road for 15km. Turn left on the Regina gravel road and drive for 15km. Turn right at farm entrance.
